Richmond, Virginia versus 7 competitor cities
Executives who evaluate and compare the start-up and annual operating costs of a new facility have to choose among 50 states, hundreds of cities, and thousands of communities. The Greater Richmond Partnership's "U.S. Start-Up Model" was developed to help the evaluation process by providing valuable data on the Richmond Region and seven comparative communities.
This brochure offers two typical operating cost comparisons and data for foreign companies entering the U.S. market for the first time. The first case provides estimates for a typical office with 50 employees occupying 10,000 square feet of office space. The second case is tailored to a distribution facility that employs 25 workers and occupies 80,000 square feet of office and warehouse space. The third scenario represents a manufacturing facility with 50 employees occupying 35,000 square feet of space.
