There’s a lot to love about RVA, and we all express our passion for the region differently. Whether it’s through social media, your favorite RVA shirt, or a certain identifiable bumper sticker, there are plenty of ways to let the world know how great the Greater Richmond region is.

But is there a way for us to collectively share our enthusiasm for the region so that it makes more of an impact? We think so.

When a business is looking to relocate, they heavily research our communities online. Your public brags – or rants – can help determine whether or not a company decides to locate in the region and provide more and better jobs for us, our friends and neighbors.

We’re the Greater Richmond Partnership and our role is to promote the Richmond region (the City of Richmond and the counties of Chesterfield, Hanover and Henrico) as an ideal business location. We work with companies around the world to get them to consider locating in RVA. Click here to read more about what we do.

We know authentic snapshots of the region can greatly influence a company’s decision to relocate to RVA. You are already bragging about the great things happening here, and we’d like to invite you to contribute to the conversation as a RVA Agent.

What is a RVA Agent
RVA Agents are digital ambassadors who show their love for the community through social media. Whether it’s tweet, text, or tag, RVA Agents promote the Richmond Region as the ideal place for work and play.

Accepted a new job? Launched the next big start-up? Found a mural you absolutely love? Let the world know because those positive posts could help the region. The better our communities look, the greater our chances are for bringing home new job opportunities and more capital investment that can be used for community services.

Who can be a RVA Agent?
RVA Agents come from all walks of life, but have three things in common: they live in the Greater Richmond region, love to tell everyone about RVA and have no problems bragging about all the great things happening through social media.

Ok, but I’m not adding “I’m a RVA Agent!” to my profile picture…
We get it. You have your own unique vision of Greater Richmond, and we love that! In order to becoming a RVA Agent, we will only ask you to do two things after signing up:

  • Keep posting about the region. Share your job successes, craft beverage scores or river pictures with the hashtag #RVAAgents
  • Join the Facebook group to learn about exclusive events and swag
